BRECKSVILLE – Five different Bees Youth Football teams competed for titles this past weekend on Championship Saturday. Three of them brought home the hardware. Two of them squared off against each other for one of the crowns.

The 9u Red Bees defeated Lou Groza Brown 12-0. The championship game victory avenged a regular season loss to Groza, which entered the title tilt with only one blemish, by the identical score. The Red Bees, who finished with a 5-3 ledger, were coached by Chris Larkins.

The 10u Red Bees topped the 10u White Bees in a championship game battle of Bees. Coach Jim Reasor’s Red Bees squad ended the campaign with a perfect 8-0 record. Coach Torre Corbo and his White Bees finish 4-4.

The Varsity White Bees beat the previously undefeated Medina White Bees 21-12 after losing to them, 6-0, during the regular season. They got the win when it counted. This was the third straight year Brecksville’s White Bees defeated Medina’s White Bees after falling to them during the regular season. The solid victory gave the squad its third consecutive NOYFC championship. Coach Kirk Doskocil’s group racked up a 7-1 mark this fall.

North Royalton’s Purple Bears (7-1) eked out a 6-0 triumph over the Bantam Red Bees. Coach Mike Swallow’ team finished with a 5-3 slate.

Congratulations to all the young men who suited up this fall and competed as Bees.
